The Aurora Barnstormers R/C Club

Meeting called to order 7:04 pm, Treasurers report was first; money on hand $2794.50. Error reported and corrected in check book with results more money on hand then originally thought. Treasurer continues to report the field mower is again late with invoice, none since August, for his services, Gary will call for invoice. There was a lengthy discussion about the web site, topics; web site security and should we have web site rules, email access and mass email to members, uploading to the site. Each month the web site becomes better and better, all agreed that those working on it are doing a great job. If members have suggestion to improve or add to the site please come to the meeting and be heard.

New Business: Several members questioned the cost of the meetings at the Prisco center $25.00 per meeting for the room. Just as a reminder we paid $25 x 8 meetings=$200.00 to the FVPD in advance for this past year. Several members suggested we look into a free meeting place or less expensive meeting place; several members are to call possible places and report. It was discussed as to why we need the FVPD and should we talk to the Kane County Forest Preserve District, Kleinstiver to call Jerry C. who has been receptive of the Barnstormers and our existence at Aurora West Forest Preserve. It has been suggested we should discuss our future with both entities’ Alan K. to also contact FVPD representative.

Discussion about next months meeting and the Pizza party Gary to call Ach-N-Lou’s to make sure we can go there after the a short December meeting. Next years Officers were nominated; President Brian W., Vice President Kevin R., Treasurer Gary K., Secretary Alan K. The officers will be voted on and confirmed at the next meeting.

A discussion on next years dues and what should they be, was tabled until February meeting.
Monthly drawing of prizes was conducted “several large airplanes” and many small items were given away, all members at the meeting won a prize with some items carried over for the February meeting.

The December meeting will NOT have a Prize drawing instead we will have the Pizza party, we hope ALL members can attend the party. Please keep in mind the meeting is still at the Prisco center at 7:00 pm then we will go to the pizza party at a place determined at the meeting.
