October Meeting of the Aurora Barnstormers RC Club Oct.2, 2008
Meeting called to order at 7:00 PM
Treasurer report - $2213.00 left as of 10-2-08
Last month a suggestion was made to add a second pad lock to the gate at the field, the second lock would be for next years key that way members that paid early could use there new key.
A vote was taken not to add an extra lock and to leave the lock the same as it has been to keep confusion down.
A report was given by Gary about the fun fly that was held and he said that there were 6 members present and all had a good time.
It was proposed that an e-mail notice go out to the members a few days before any event to remind all about the upcoming event. This is a very good idea.
Kevin talked about setting up the web site to have an e-mail address to send to if you want to opt in to receive e-mails from the club. This will make sure that any changes of e-mail addresses and new ones get in correctly. I think this is a good idea, between the poor hand writing on some applications and the changing of email addresses we would still be able to contact members.
The link to and from the AMA is working now.
Kevin was nominated for the VP position and the other officers will continue to serve there positions. Elections for the officers are at the November Meeting with confirmation at the December meeting. All newly elected officers will take office January first even though there is no meeting in January.

Members need to check our web site often; we have new information every month, we have come a long way with the site so let’s visit the site often. Don’t for get Members can up load pictures of their aircraft to the web site for all of us to see.
Due to my accident Jack was kind enough to take the minutes and I greatly appreciate his help.
